Law firm appoints two new partners

PROPERTY law firm Attwells Solicitors, which recently opened a Colchester office, has announced the appointment of two new partners.

Laura Catania and Lloyd Clarke join the leadership team as Attwells continues its strong growth path. This brings the leadership team at Attwells to six. Both Laura and Lloyd trained with Attwells and have developed on their careers to be leaders in conveyancing and employment law respectively.

Laura Catania an Ipswich lady who has worked with Nick Attwell since she was 19 years old, starting out as a legal secretary learning and obtaining her qualifications whilst working on the job. Laura, one of Ipswich’s leading conveyancing lawyers now looks after some large estate agency accounts with a large team based in Attwells’ Ipswich offices and is at the forefront of staff engagement across the Firm.

Laura is a phenomenal conveyancer with a deep knowledge of the subject but critically also the ability to translate complex legal concepts into plain English. Clients love her. Laura will head up the conveyancing in Ipswich for us so as to enable Partner Lisa Nyland to develop conveyancing from our new office in Colchester.”

Lloyd Clarke is a local Colchester man schooled at Philip Morant, before studying law at Essex University and undertaking his solicitor exams at Anglia Ruskin in Chelmsford. Lloyd trained at Attwells Solicitors where he qualified as a Solicitor. Lloyd has built Attwells employment department and now focuses his advice around the property and health and social care sectors where he has many clients. Lloyd is passionate about providing work experience and speaks at local schools and colleges in Essex.

Nick Attwell said: “Lloyd created our employment department and is highly knowledgeable. All of his clients know that he will fight for them. I am proud that he has reached the pinnacle of his legal career with us. Lloyd has project managed our purchase and fit out of our new Colchester Office and will be a leader in developing the markets in Essex where he is a real part of the fabric. Lloyd will also not stop doing his bit for the local Essex community which he is active within.”
