WELL, when I launched our 2020 Vision campaign to encourage more home-working, I have to say I never expected it would receive such an unexpected and such a very unwelcome boost as has been provided by the Coronavirus!
Having rid ourselves (largely) of four years of Brexit uncertainty, businesses now have to contend with a new foe which makes Brexit pale into insignificance. However, as with Brexit, businesses have no option, however challenging it may be in the weeks and possibly months ahead, than to take it on the chin and do whatever can be done to keep business ticking over and be in as strong a position as possible when normality returns.
BusinessTime in Essex will do all we can to help businesses manage these challenging times. Many people now working from home will find it an unusual experience. If you’re working from home for the first time, let us know how you’re adapting. And if you’ve got any advice for people working from home, again, let us know. We’ll share your contributions via this website and the next issue of the magazine.
In the meantime, let’s do what we business folk do best – stay calm, review options and make the most of the situation we find ourselves in.
